Sample Spontaneous Challenges

1. Camping Trip

A family of five is planning to go on a camping trip to Tree Tops National Park. The family is made up of mother, father, baby daughter, twelve year old nephew and elderly aunty.

As a team you must list 10 items that you consider would be most useful and yet unusual for them to take on a their three week trip. A brief reason for taking each item must be given.

You have 4 minutes to share your ideas and then 3 minutes to present them. You will be judged on the
  • originality 
  • usefulness of the items you select and the reason for their selection
  • your ability to work together

2. Bucket of Bits

                                               
In the bucket are 10 items. You are to 'create' something using at least 5 items and give your creation a name.

You have 5 minutes to make your 'creation' and then 2 minutes to present your 'creation'. You will be judged on the
  • originality of your 'creation'
  • its name
  • explanation of your 'creation' 
  • your ability to work together
